pikeonthefly.com was founded by one of the top pike guides in North America, Phil Weibe who has guided pike for close to 3 decades in the north woods of Saskatchewan. As a long time pike/fly guide Phil wanted to start a website dedicated to his passion of pike. Phil grew the page before selling the domain to Mike Lembke, owner operator of Wollaston Lake Lodge. Mike is a hardcore fly fisherman with a passion for pike which led him to purchase Wollaston Lake Lodge 20 plus years ago. He has since developed WLL into a world renowned lodge that has won major awards like the Orvis Endorsed Lodge of the Year. Known for its 5 star service, scenic beauty, incredible fishing for pike, walleye, lake trout and arctic grayling the lodge is known as one of if not the premier fishing lodge anywhere on the planet. Mike always strives to elevate his passion for fly fishing and pike which is why he took on pikeonthefly.com as another outlet for share his love of the sport.

Andrew Marr currently runs pikeonthefly.com. Andrew is a long time Wollaston Lake lodge guide who appeared in the 2020 film “A common thread” which was an official entry in the Fly Fishing Film Tour. Andrew is known for his ability to tie durable long lasting and highly effective pike flies, a passion for sharing his knowledge of pike and their habits with anyone and everyone as well as his easy going attitude. Andrew brings with him a great outlook and perspective built on years of pursuing fish around the globe to the world of pikeonthefly.com.
