The Bucktail at the head is reverse tied giving the perception of a lot of bulk, without weighing a ton. This fly pushes water and moves in a life-like way to attract fish. When anglers are headed below the equator to the South American waters this fly is a must need to have in your box. It starts with the Tiemco 600SP hook which is undoubtedly one of the strongest and sharpest hooks on the market. Clearly designed to pursue peacocks dont be surprised if this fly works in just about any situation. It works great for large freshwater predators like pike and muskie as well.

The Reducer was was the first individual fly that Pikeonthefly.com set out to sell on the site.  After a decade plus, of heavy use in POTF.com’s owner/operator Andrew Marr’s guide boat, there was zero question is his mind that the Reducer HAD to be available to our customers.  There aren’t enough good words that can be written here to describe how effective this fly has been, wherever pike swim, for years!
